I love all of your books so much. I found the first two at the public library and then they didn't have the last one I was so furious. Had to wait and order it, but it was worth it. I would really love to have these books in audiobooks. :) :D

I'm still not sure where I came upon your first book, but it and its fellows have followed me faithfully through several years and several moves. I have yet to find a book that made me cry as hard as I did when Akhor lay dying in the first book. I have to admit I had to stop reading for a moment to compose myself and continue. Your books have been an absolute inspiration to me with my own writing. Though I now have a littling of my own throwing a wrench into things, I'm hoping to put out a book or two of my own someday. Meanwhile I've ventured into Kolmar again, this time taking my son with me. He's a little young to understand anything I'm saying, but he seems to be enjoying himself nonetheless. Thank you for the wonderful adventures, and wishing you good health and a plethora of ideas.

What a bummer that your guestbook was deleted! I've loved your books for years and am so glad that the series will continue. I don't usually post on guestbooks, but yours looks so lonely now! Good luck to you and I hope your recovery continues to go well (and quickly! I can't wait to hear what's next for Lanen and Co.!). Thank you for a beautiful world to lose myself in!

You mention Mike Freeman and Tania Opland, who I know did the fabulous Pern music CDs. Have they considered doing at least a single for Laenen's world? I bet they could do a great job with the song you mention near the beginning of the first book, when Laenen hears the dragons in the silence. I LOVE their music, and would be delighted to buy that track from them. Elizabeth wrote: I quite agree! However, the fact is that Tanya and Mike fell in love with Anne McCaffrey's world and her song lyrics spoke to them. Anne is also great at describing the effect that the Harpers' music has on people, and Tanya and Mike were able to use their multifarious skills to reproduce that effect in their listeners. But in case you're wondering, yes, I would LOVE to hear their interpretation of Kolmari music one day.

Dear Ms. Kerner, First of all, I'm sorry you had to have carpal tunnel surgery. I've had it done to both my wrists(I'm right-handed, so I asked for the work to be done on my left hand first), and it's not fun recovering from that, as you well know. Suffice it to say that grocery bags were my best friends: I wrapped my arm/wrist in one, secured it with rubber bands, so I could take a bath without messing up the bandages!!! Secondly, I am really excited about the next series of Kolmar novels. When I read that Lanen's twins each had a little bump on their foreheads(right where the soulgem would be), I became eager to hear what will happen to Varien and Lanen(and their kids), to Will, to all the characters I've come to love. I can't wait--but I will be patient... Thirdly, I also used to sing--I'm a soprano, but was used as an alto(short supply of altos, a-hem!) in my choral group, back when I sang at mass, in Washington, DC. Then I found out I had asthma, and my vocal cords sort of went kaput. My voice is very rough now, even raspy sometimes...the higher registers are just about a thing of the past ...but I take my music where I can, singing in the shower or when I clean the bathrooms. I still have enough breath for that, and to play the pennywhistle, so I am grateful for that much. Finally, I want to wish you and yours a wonderful, magical 2011! You and yours deserve it, and I promise I will be visiting your site to check up on news. Take care, and have a wonderful week! Peace, love and hugs, Tina

I'm so happy that you are actually writing the next book in the series . I had heard in 2009 that you had been contracted to write three more novels for the series but hadn't heard anything more about it since then. I know that it can take years to write a novel but was hoping that it would be out soon anyway. I'm really looking foreword to the release of this next book if u are ever doing a book signing in the Monterey Bay area please let me know. Thank you, your fan, Eoin Jennings

Dear Elizabeth, About tenish years ago I was in jr. high and I had just gotten into fantasy via Anne Mccaffrey. I found your book, the cover of course would not let me put it down. I never got to finish reading till years later. And in all that time your story would pop up in my head a line here a dream there. Then I find a copy of it at my local used used book store (love that place). I finaly! read it through!! I am made so happy to know that you have carried on Lanen's story, that was the number one thing that tickled my mind every time I thought of your book. Thank you so much for these stories i look forward to continuing the journey

I love your books. I enjoyed the adventures of Lanen, and when I read about her children--my mind spun with excitement. Dragon/human children! Wow. I can't wait for your second series of books to come out on print. I loved especially the little dragon thatwas raised by a human. Her wisdom and gentle wit really made me smile. I wish you good fortune in this next series, and a wonderful 2011 for you and your family! Peace, Tina
