Welcome to my website

Hello, and welcome to my home on the web. Thanks for dropping by to say howdy, to see what's new, or to figure out who this Elizabeth Kerner person is anyway.

I am the author of the Tales of Kolmar series, which (so far!) consists of Song in the Silence, The Lesser Kindred and Redeeming the Lost.
I am presently in the midst of writing a second trilogy, tentatively entitled The End of Old Songs. Unfortunately, the first book has been delayed. I have a lot of changes to make (resulting in a better book, with any luck!). I don't have a release date at the moment, but it is likely to be summer of 2012 or thereabouts. I'll let you know as soon as I do, and we'll post the due dates of the other books as we learn them. Don't hold your breath, my friends, I have to write them first! And I'd like to thank you all for your patience and your persistence. Wish me a following wind, my friends, to blow away the cobwebs and keep me on the right course.

And there's more good news – this new website, which has been created, developed and managed by my good friend Hans van der Boom (bless you, Hans!) and will be a great deal more visitor-friendly than my last one. I was never in a position to update my old site, but Hans is a very bright man and has educated me sufficiently that I think I'll be up to the challenge of keeping this site rather more current than the last.

On this site you'll find a section with News, a brief biography, a bibliography, answers to frequently asked questions, links to some of my favorite writers and artists, and a guestbook. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to those of you who have been so kind and encouraging about my work. I read every entry (well, except the robot spam!) and every email, and I very much appreciate your taking the time and effort to post or send a cheery message. It means a lot.

Finally, on behalf of Lanen and Co., I'd like to thank you for reading, for coming with me into Kolmar and joining in the adventures there. Reading a book is an active pursuit, as much a creation of the reader as of the writer: I will do my best to provide further examples of my half of the endeavour!

All the best,
Elizabeth Kerner
